 deVries Law Firm (formerly Mart & deVries) was established in 1983 to represent individuals and businesses on insurance related claims and litigation in Northern California, including Sacramento and the San Francisco Bay area.
Mr. deVries has represented individuals and businesses in civil litigation cases for over 30 years. He has served as President of the Consumer Attorneys of California (formerly California Trial Lawyers Association) and the Sacramento Consumer Attorneys. He is A-V rated by Martindale-Hubbell Legal Directory and is also a member of the American Trial Lawyers Association, the American Board of Trial Advocates, and the American Bar Association (having served as National Vice-Chair of the ABA Life and Disability Insurance Committee).
In addition to numerous noteworthy trial verdicts, appellate decisions and settlements on behalf of clients, Mr. deVries is a frequent invited author and lecturer on insurance-related legal topics. He is co-author, with colleague Robert K. Scott, Esq., of "Establishing Insurance Bad Faith" in the Insurance Settlement Handbook, published by James Publishing Company.
